Opened wechat but it said need to update to new version by click "okay" in appstore. But after get into apple store, the version of wechat is the same as the current one. Do i need to update system? also unable to update system.

There are plenty of newer, older iPad models that can run the latest, current versions of iPadOS.

it's an old ipad maybe the developer of the app require a version of ios which is higher than your ipad support
