Universal clipboard not working between iPhone and Macbook Pro M1

Apologies if this has been asked already, I couldn't see it in searches.

I have a new Macbook Pro M1, iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPad 9.7 Pro (older one). Universal clipboard works between ipad - Macbook Pro, iPhone - iPad but it's not working between iPhone - Macbook Pro.

All are logged into the same Apple account, all are updated to the latest OS.

I also have a 7 year old Macbook Pro running Catalina and it's not working between that and the iPhone or that and the new Macbook Pro M1.

I'm not sure if this is an iPhone issue or a Macbook Pro issue so apologies if this is in the wrong place.

Is it a known issue? I was hoping it may have been fixed with the new OS updates released today but it doesn't seem like it has.
