I open the a.m. and saw a black & white screen. Tried setting to no avail. How do I switch it back to color??

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities! If we understand correctly, your iPad screen is only showing black and white with no color. We'd like to help get this sorted out for you.
Are you able to see anything on screen, or is it only showing black and white without allowing you to get to your home screen?
Are you using Dark Mode on your iPad? This can cause the iPad to have a darker appearance. To check, go to Settings > Display & Brightness.
