my daughter's phone says she is part of another family need to fix

I'm trying to add my daughter to our family plan, but her phone says she is part of another family, and I need to fix this. It looks like I need to remove her as a device from my computer and then add her back. Is this right? Will she lose any contacts or other when I do that? or do I need to plug her phone into my computer and re-sync it?

Please advise. Simplest way possible.

Thank you!

If she is under 13, you can't simply remove her and add her back. She must be "moved" to another family.
