Tracking naps during the day

I set up Sleep tracking on my Series 6 Watch and iPhone 12. It seems to track sleep at night, although without a lot if detail. It doesn’t track naps during the day though. I take naps involuntarily, and not on any schedule, as I have narcolepsy. It would be very useful for my naps/sleep attacks to be captured. They are usually more than 30 minutes. I’ve followed the steps in prior answers and Sleep is set up. Does anyone have a suggested work around? Do I need another app? Should I set my sleep schedule to be 24 hours? Am I out of luck and this is nothing more than a feature improvement request?

Setting up Sleep is only telling your watch what time you go to bed and what time to wake you up. The only thing I can suggest is to manually start Sleep on your watch or iPhone before you take a nap and then turn it off again when you wake up. You probably won't get accurate data if you just have Sleep turned on all day long. Not to mention that would require turning your digital crown anytime you want to look at anything other than the time. To me it sounds like you may need a different type of tracker if you're wanting to log your full sleep data but even with others you may need to tell it manually that you are taking a nap.
