Apple TV Through Eero or Through Modem?

I use Eero as a router and several wireless extenders to spread our wireless signal around the house. Because the Eero only has one extra ethernet port, I connected a TP Link Ethernet Switch with 5 ports for our other devices, but our Apple TV is still plugged directly into the modem. On my Airplay, I see the Apple TV off of the router but it also shows up separately as Home Theater as part of the Eero network. Should I be routing the Apple TV through the Eero via the Ethernet switch or does it matter? would the 5 port switch slow down the Apple TV signal? I assume it would be more secure through the Eero. Our network has speeds of up to 1GB. Thank you in advance for any advice.
