I am considering getting an SSD for my Time Machine backups. I have used various HDDs, including Apple's Time Capsule, but never an SSD. With my current level if ignorance, I would get something like https://tinyurl.com/y82f53ad
Any opinions, comments or enlightenment appreciated. The only questions I have formatted are:
#1. Any SSD specific considerations?
#2. Any brands to specifically consider or avoid?
I have used Sandisk, Samsung and WD and all are fine. format APFS. You should have a TM that is 2-4 times the size of your internal drive.

Thanks - I suspected this was OK, but just wanted to check before I made the purchase. My current HDDs have done several years of service. I will now retire those platters and move on to NAND
