Mac continues to restart and mouse doesn’t work

iMac is caught in a startup loop sometimes the screen will be gray with nothing on it and sometimes red yellow with access points for various people and ability to turn the computer off with a button. However, the mouse and keyboard do not work. I’m running the most recent OS. Keyboard doesn’t work so I can’t access single user mode.
