Does this also happen with other mapping services like Google Maps, Yahoo Maps, your car's GPS, etc?
There is a "report an issue..." in the Maps menu:
This may take a while to get fixed. When I used that function to report a mislabeled street in our neighborhood, it was eventually corrected but many months later.
Just about every mapping service, regardless of the name on it, uses algorithms to guess at a house address. On our street the numbers start at "307" and redictably increase by 10. Ex: 307; 317; 327; 337, etc. The mapping services use such progressions to assign house numbers to their map images. It's fine as long as no one messes up the progression. Like happend at my house.
The original purchaser of our lot must had had a special connection with the number "325" and asked for that. All the hand-drawn city and country plat maps show that. However, there is not a single mapping app or GPS service that puts our house within 150 feet of its actual location.
So even with attention to this from Apple, it may never be correct if your neighborhood has a similar history. At best it is an educated guess made inexact by a decision, in our case, 35 years ago—long before devices with GPS and mapping software.
