A virus has been deleting individual contacts from my iPhone 8. Any one found virus software to remove it. Tried Macafee didn’t find it.

Then, again, try using Recovery Mode to reinstall a "clean" copy of iOS on your phone and avoid using any type of AV or cleaner apps with it going forward.
Then it shouldn't have a virus. Most likely, if you are using some type of AV app on this phone, is the reason you are having this issue with it.
As such, one way to assure that it is running an "official" version of Apple's iOS is to restore it via Recovery Mode:
Also move to the App Library after your last home page and see if Safari is hiding there. Use the search box.
Unless your iPhone is jailbroken, it can't get viruses and no AV app is recommended. Can you tell us a bit more about what issues you are seeing and what you have tried, so far yourself, to resolve this this issue?
It didn’t delete the entire contact list but only certain ones and some data on certain other ones. Then it deleted the icon for safari. I haven’t noticed any other icons being deleted. How do I get safari back. It’s not in the App Store.
Something deleted the Safari app that came with my iPhone 8 as a standard Apple app just like compass, maps, stocks, ect. The App Store by clicking on my photo or account at the top of the page only offers redown load of purchased apps.
Whatever it is it’s deleted the icon for safari and several contacts and partial data from some. How do I get safari back. It’s not in the App Store?
My iPhone 8 is not jail broke. It is with AT&T.
It is not possible to delete Safari. Here is information on deleting built in apps ➡️ Delete built-in Apple apps on your iOS 12, iOS 13, or iPadOS device or Apple Watch - Apple Support
You will note that Safari is not on the list of apps that can be deleted. And, in fact, no apps can be deleted with iOS 14.
However, the use of Safari can be restricted in Settings/Screen Time/Content & Privacy Restrictions - Allowed Apps.
There ate NO viruses for iphone.
Get rid of McAffee (if it will let you, its a nasty program like most if them)
Whatever or whoever it is deleting them it isn’t a virus or trojan malware.
