Pausing while using Spectrum

Unfortunately, we have discovered that we cannot pause live tv programs being viewed on Spectrum's application. This is very displeasing as the ONLY reason we invested in the new Apple TV was to use Spectrum's because it is the service we require to watch a local sports channel. Will this issue be soon resolved?
