How can I get pictures off of iCloud

Sign in with Apple ID and password with account credential from a web browser at www.icloud.com , in photos section .

If photos are in series , hold the shift key click on rest of photos to get selected ( prefer to select small number of photos )

Click on delete .

Get them off how? Delete them? Or transfer to an external device?
