Probably because you have a router which hasn't had it's security updated in a long time. You've likely always had weak security, you're just now being notified you do.


See this link about security and router settings --> https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202068


Contact your Internet Provider to ask for your router settings to be update or if that's not possible for a newer router.
