Logic Pro trial not downloading
Anyone else have problems trying to download the trial? I click on the link and nothing happens. I'm running Catalina on a mid-2012 macbook pro.

Fellow MacBook Pro mid-2012 user on Catalina here! :)
I just clicked on the https://updates-http.cdn-apple.com/2020/macos/001-84693-20201210-59cbf73b-5b4b-4bdc-841e-7c28304c90a6/LogicProTrial.dmg link and it's downloading just fine, albeit with a warning that "a HTTPS version of updates-http.cdn-apple.com is not available." Using Firefox 84.0.1 with pretty "aggresive" security settings.
So if it doesn't work for you in Safari, you may want to try another browser like Firefox. (Having a spare secure browser handy is generally a Good Thing™. Avoid spyware like Google Chrome though.)
Yeah, I was using Google Chrome to download, and that didn't work. The link you posted says it isn't secure, so I didn't use that. I was able to download it from the Safari browser. Thanks! :)
… but for what it's worth, on Safari the download works for me, too.
The LogicProTrial.pkg has the 2020-12-09 modification date, so it's definitely the latest version.
I have the same problem. I also am running Catalina on a mid-2012 MacBook pro. Hopefully, we could get this fixed soon, I'm excited to try Logic. :)

Of course technically it isn't, as it's actually an "http://" link. But it's the very link to Apple's servers you're being redirected when you click on the "Download" button on https://apple.com/logic-pro/trial – whether it's in Safari or Firefox or whatever.
It's easy to double check if you open the Download list from the Safari toolbar, ctrl-click on the item and select Copy Address…
Firefox will at least warn you if "Enable HTTPS-Only Mode in all windows" security preference is enabled.
And why Apple is still serving unsecure downloads in 2020 remains anyone guess. :/
Anyway, good to know that it worked out fine. Have fun!
I have upgraded to Logic 10 only a few weeks ago, after having been working with Logic Studio 9 for almost 10 years. I'm definitely having fun, althouth I miss the compact interface of Logic 9. Even though I have more pixels to "waste", as my MBP is the last model with optional matte display, thus 1680×1050 px.
