Can't play Zoom audio to my TV through mini display port although youtube videos play sound to TV

So I have a MacBook Air (13-inch, 2017). When I play youtube videos in Chrome or Safari the sound comes out through my TV. However, when I run zoom client/app the sound will not come out through my TV. I use the Mazer M-MDP2HDMI (https://www.whymazer.com/product-page/mazer-m-mdp2hdmi-mini-dp-to-hdmi-adapter). How do I play the Zoom meeting sound to my TV? Please help! Thank you!
