Scans: where are they put ?

Every **** time I scan a document into "Notes" I have trouble finding it. The **** IPHone either puts in in some random place or doesnt's ave it at all.

how can I get control over this situation? Other 'community' answers are clear as mud. "Just press such-and-such an icon..." ... But there is no such icon.

Why the F*(&^(*&^K doesn't IPhone *ASK* me where to put the scan, as my WINDOWS computer does?

AI folks are off on cloud nine. STuff put out commerically half-baked. Half the time it works, and half the time it takes twice as long because the **** device thinks it's smart.

Oh: And I"m using an Iphone SE. This stupidly designed web page doesn't offer me this choice for which device I"m using.

Hey there 212OL4,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're wanting to know how to how and where scanned documents in Notes save. We're happy to provide some assistance.

Once you scan a document as outlined here How to scan documents on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, tap Save > tap the document > tap Share on the top right. You can then choose where you want to share or save the scanned document to.

We hope this helps.

Have a great day!

This doesn't work! Are you a robot? It doesn't seem like you're responding like a human. AI is primitive.

What you mention does NOT work. It takes me to a place where I can email a scan OUT of my phone. But suppose I want to email two copies, one today and one tomorrow? I want to store and retrieve it. A pretty reasonable requirement.

But NO! The phone decides where to store it--if at all. (Unreliable!) And it stores it in a random location.

You have not addressed the issue. You've given me a canned response similar to one in a 'help' file. They rarely help.

Cell phones are inconvenient and unreliable. I use mine as LITTLE as possible.
