Apple Watch

Hello my friend is giving me a series 4 Apple Watch that is GPS and cellular. I just wanted to know am I able to still link it to my iPhone without using the cellular feature because my cell phone company I’m not able to hook up an Apple Watch to my phone plan. So I want to know am I able to use it like my old Apple Watch the series 3 GPS that mirrored my iPhone and it was connected through Wi-Fi

Apple Watch Question Recently I've been thinking about purchasing a Apple Watch Series 5 GPS + Cellular and I was wondering if I purchased it but did not want to set up cellular first could I just use the apple watch with my phone near me and basically treat it like an apple watch series 5 without cellular and have it connected to my phone and at a later date set it up with cellular? Apple watch gps+cellular I recently bought an apple watch series 4 with GPS+Cellular. And it says its compatible with iphone 6 or later. (I didn't know this because it was in small print of course) I have an iPhone SE, is it possible to pair my watch to my iphone SE as long as I dont set up cellular? And only use GPS features? If not I'm going to have to return my apple watch for a non cellular version.

Yes, you can use an Apple Watch without activating the cellular, it will work just like the GPS only version using your iPhone.

Yes, you can use that watch without activating the cellular function.

Just make sure that your friend has removed the watch from his Apple ID so that you don't have trouble with Activation Lock.
