How do you connect to bluetooth on Airpod Max on Windows 10

When I connect my Apple Airpods Max to windows it only works for 2 minutes and chops the rest of the time. the sound comes and goes all the time, like there is no connection

You need to press and hold the noise control button until the light at the bottom of the right earcup flashes white, and then add the headphones to your device in its Bluetooth settings.

I have the same problem, the connection drops every 5 mins on windows 10.
Press and hold the Noise cancelling button to activate parring to other devices than apple
