are you able to download YouTube app on a iPad mini 2 that is running on iOS 12.

thought I’d ask before I waste money buying one for my daughter.

Yes, it requires iOS 11.0 and watchOS 6.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

YouTube is free with In-App purchase.

Be advised that an iPad Mini 2 and 3 cannot upgrade beyond ANY version of iOS 12.

Apple ended full support for these iPad Mini models over a year ago.

So no upgrades to ANY newer iPadOS versions.

Yes.

The YouTube app currently requires iOS 11 and later.
