Apple includes Python 2.7.16 in Big Sur 11.0.1 and 11.1. Don't grow too attached to it as Python 2.7 is deprecated by Python.org.

At this time, Python.org provides an Intel exclusive download of Python 3.9.1, and a universal2 binary download of Python 3.9.1 for the M1 Apple Silicon Macs. These purposely support Big Sur and use a proper Mac installation process to install the distribution into /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework, and symlinks to the respective binaries (e.g. idle3, python3) in /usr/local/bin. This does not interfere with Apple's Python 2.7 installation, though you will need to amend your shell PATH to place the aforementioned path at its front.
