It is false. Others can see your texts if you share an Apple ID, but not if you have different Apple IDs that are linked with family sharing.

It sounds like you have a question about text messages and Family Sharing. iMessages (texts sent between Apple Devices) are private, as long as Family Members are using their own Apple ID account. SMS or MMS messages are controlled by your wireless carrier and aren't included in Family Sharing.

Use your own Apple ID for Family Sharing

"Your Apple ID is the account you use to access all Apple services, including Family Sharing. Everyone in your family needs to join Family Sharing using their own Apple ID. This way your family can share purchases, an Apple Music family plan, iCloud storage, photos, and more without sharing personal information like email, text messages, or passwords."
