Airpod battery status displayed on somebody else’s phone

My AirPods (which should be first generation) showed its battery status on my roommate’s iphone/iPad occasionally, that she never used or connected my AirPods. I don’t know why it happened. Please help! Thank you!

Hey there mona337,

We understand your roommate's device is occasionally showing the battery status of your AirPods. We'll be happy to help.

To begin, we'd suggest resetting them and setting them up again with your device. Use these steps: Reset your AirPods

Also, if you've ever shared an Apple ID between each other, we'd recommend removing that from the device as it could be related to using the same iCloud account.

We hope this helps. Cheers!
