How to tell if your Apple Watch update is finished what does the watch tell you
How can you tell if your Apple Watch update has finished there seems to be no notice of that

To complete the update your Apple Watch must be on the charger, and it will restart Very Slowly. You can hardly miss the reboot, it seems to take for ever before it goes to the normal on-charge display. That’s your first clue. When you get the time and charging display back it is done, you can wear the watch again, unlock with passcode and you can go to Settings/General/About to check the version number. Also (sometime soon but not always immediate) it will give an on screen message to tell you it has been updated.
If you initiated the update from the Watch app on your iPhone it will also show you the steps during downloading, verifying, preparing etc before it completes. (I forget the exact sequence). Sorry I have no idea if anything shows in the Watch app if the update was triggered direct from the watch.
