How do I stop my iphone from silencing my calls

If you mean the Silence Unknown Callers option, that is at Settings > Phone > Silence Unknown Callers. See; Detect and block spam phone calls - Apple Support

FIRST: Are the missed calls in Phone/Recents on the phone? If they are not the problem is in the network, because the calls aren’t getting to your phone. Contact your carrier: 

• check with your carrier that they don’t have a local outage, and that you didn’t have any settings that would have immediately invoked voicemail
• check up on them at Down Detector - outages

If they are in Recents here’s what to check:

• Check the MUTE switch on the left side of the phone, above the volume buttons. It should be towards the screen
• Check the volume setting. With the Home screen displayed, press the VOLUME UP button on the left side of the phone. It’s above the VOLUME DOWN button.
• Go to Settings/Do not Disturb. Turn it off if it is on. Also turn off Scheduled. With both off none of the other switches there matter.
• Go to Settings/Phone. There’s a switch for Silence Unknown Callers. If it is on any calls from numbers not in your contacts will go directly to voicemail.
• \Also in Settings/Phone: Make sure Call Forwarding is off.
• Go to Settings/Sounds & Haptics. Make sure there is a sound assigned to Ringtone.
• Go to Settings/Screen Time/Communications Limits. Tap each of the 2 entries and make sure both are “Everyone"
• Restart your phone-->RESTART your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

If DND is turned off, those features don't affect your phone. They only matter if DND is enabled.

If you are not hearing any sound, there is another reason.

Need to know how to stop my phone calls from being silent

My iphone only has the option to silence calls ALWAYS or WHILE IPHONE IS LOCKED. I don't want calls silenced at all because I am missing important calls. How do I de-select both options? Do Not Disturb is not on.

This feature is a bit frustrating an appears redundant. If I want my calls silenced, I will use the Do Not Disturb feature.

I need to know how to un silence my phone

Thanks for responding. So since DND is not on and I get the message that a call was silenced, what should I do to stop receiving the message that a call was silenced and have all calls ring through?

I would like to stop my calls being silenced when the number is recognized. It is a very annoying feature and I have missed calls that were important.

Did not help. I’m missing calls from favorites even. Very annoying. What to do? Silence unknown is off. Do not disturb is off and still not ringing from anyone when phone is locked.

Didn’t work. Fix it!!! I’m missing important medical calls from contacts. DND is not on and silence calls is not on.
