Apple TV 4K can no longer use multiple HomePods.

Up until today I was able to use my HomePod, 2 HomePod Mini’s (as a stereo pair, but all 3 speakers in my living room) and then an additional Mini in my kitchen all together when I was watching my Apple TV 4K. Now I only have the option to use my main HomePod.

Also check your ATV Control Panel (press and hold the TV/Home button) to see if you are able to select all of the relevant Homepods there. Setting the default audio output via the Settings menu seems to behave differently.

Update your ATV. to the latest software. Go into settings - Audio and choose your default as the HomePods.

Update the iOS device you used to set up HomePods to iOS 14.3

Update the software on your HomePods also

Open the Home App on your iOS device - deep press on a homepod and see if it asks you to set up home theatre

Set up home theater audio with HomePod and Apple TV 4K

If you’re still having issues, restarting your Apple TV might help, as well as rebooting the wifi modem.
