Touch ID Issues

I recently purchased a MacBook air and it was running on Catalina, everything was fine aside from the mail app opening randomly. I updated to Big Sur and now I can't use my touch ID and my password doesn't work half the time in the system preferences and I have reset it a few times.


Apple Support thinks it could be malware related but my antivirus hasn't detected it. Anyone else experiencing the same issues?

Great suggestion, i tried that. Turns out i just needed a hard reboot on my system and it fixed the issue :)
