My Apple Watch is not unlocking the Notes

Try this step as provided in the following article: Unlock your Mac with your Apple Watch. "In Security & Privacy preferences, deselect 'Use your Apple Watch to unlock apps and your Mac,' then restart your Mac and turn this setting back on."

3. Did you make any changes to your Mac or Apple Watch prior to no longer being able to unlock your Notes?

I am having the same issue. Last week I reset my Apple Watch (v7.2) and the unlock feature worked fine...until today. I've unchecked the notation on my MacBook Air (v11.1 - Big Sur), turned the laptop off/on, reset the notation in Privacy settings with no success. I hesitate to AGAIN go through this process, hoping for an easier, less time-consuming task. I thought that this was fixed with the latest update?
