Enable Facetime camera on Imac OS Catalina

The built in camera for Facetime is no longer enabled. System was restored but still no success. Camera works fine for ZOOM. Advice?

I have had 2 productive sessions with Apple Support and learned that the issue was with my Kaspersky Internet Security application. I contacted them and their recommendation was to unblock the webcam which I did. Facetime now works!

Hey there wbnc,

We understand the camera on your Mac no longer works for FaceTime but does work OK for other apps. We'll be happy to help.

To troubleshoot this, we'd recommend going through the steps here: If your built-in camera isn’t working on your Mac

This will guide you through a few things that may help like updating, checking settings, and resetting the SMC.

If the issue persists after those steps, reach out to Apple Support directly using this link: Get Support

Cheers!
