Boot camp assistant doesn't recognize the Windows 10 iso file. So what do I do now to install Windows 10 on my iMac (Version 11, Big Sur)?

Can you post the MD5sum? Here is an example (using a different ISO file).

You can do this in Terminal.

  • Start Applications -> Utilities -> macOS Terminal
  • Enter 'openssl md5'
  • Use macOS Finder to find the ISO
  • Drag the file to the Terminal window, and press enter.

openssl md5 Win10_1909_EnglishInternational_x64.iso

MD5(Win10_1909_EnglishInternational_x64.iso)= d1f08aea37586702f6fbe2fe3ea8c3fd

That did the trick! I sure appreciate you hanging with me. I had to download another copy of the Windows 10 file to my Downloads folder, but after that the installation went fine. However, I also had to purchase another copy of Microsoft (Office) 365 for Windows, and now my sound in Windows doesn't work . Indeed, the system tells me I have to purchase Windows 10. Jeeeeeezzz!!
