Xbox One Controller with Apple TV

My New Xbox One Controller is connected to Apple TV Gen4 (Not 4k). I can pair it successfully. It does not work! Cannot do anything with it. Please help.

The only official statement that I have seen so far is:

Microsoft and Apple are working together to bring compatibility for the Xbox Series X controller to customers in a future update.

You do not mention which model controller you have.

The linked support article specifies precisely which models controllers are supported. Other models would not be.

Model 1708: compatible

Model 1797: compatible

Model 1914: currently not yet supported
