Shared Folder

If I inadvertently add an invitee for a shared folder from my contacts the option to remove them doesn't work and they receive an invitation immediately. How can this be prevented?

Hello JTBAYN,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you would like the ability to cancel an invitation to Shared Albums.

Currently, once the invitee has accepted your invitation, you can remove them as a subscriber. Check out the 'Remove a subscriber' section of How to share albums in Photos on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. They also have the option to decline your invitation.

If you would like to see changes to how Shared Albums work in the future, you can send Apple Feedback from Product Feedback.

Thanks!

Chuck, I didn't express myself well. I established a shared folder and when I attempt to invite certain contacts I mistakenly click a name that should not be included. I then use the dropdown menu to remove that name; however the name will not remove and that person has already received the invitation. Since the name would not remove, I delete the folder and start over but the unintentional invitee has already received the invite and I assume that the person may try to respond and find no folder. Apparently when a contact is added to the invitee list the invitation is sent immediately allowing no time to correct a mistake. How can this be avoided?
