Video on a website plays in Firefox but not in Safari.

Screen displays the following error message:

The video is bad or in a format that cannot be played on your browser

Error Code: MEDIA_ERR_DECODE

Technical details : The media playback was aborted due to a corruption problem or because the media used features your browser did not support.

Youtube videos not playing within Safari For the last month, Youtube has been having issues playing videos within Safari on my MacBook. It's not something that was ever an issue until very recently. The whole youtube page will load but the video area will remain black, occasionally throwing up an error code. I cant reproduce this on any of the other browsers I have installed, but it keeps happening in Safari.

Youtube videos not working Youtube videos do not play when I am viewing them on Safari but if I watch them on Google Chrome everything works fine. This problem has been occurring for around a year now and I don't know what's causing it and how to fix it. Every time I click a video the video is black and when I click on it it says an error has occurred.

problems with youtube Hey, With my safari browser I can no longer watch all YouTube videos. Most of them give me an error. Other videos work normally. This has come suddenly. I have no problems with my Firefox browser. All videos work there. I am working with a MacBook Air 2018 and running MacOs Catalnina version: 10.15.6 My daughter who own's a MacBook 12 inch does not have this issue. thank you very much for your help Best regards Olaf
