iPhone 12 Pro drops handsfree bluetooth randomly

Is there a known issue with the iPhone 12 Pro where the bluetooth handsfree in a vehicle (or with bluetooth speakers in general) keeps dropping out and then coming back randomly? This is happening on an iPhone 12 Pro and never happened with a prior older iPhone (which still works fine). I have seen some of the same complaints in searches in which it appears it is a hardware or software issue. Please advise if anybody has same issue or any information.

Hello acs-1,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. Having steady bluetooth connection between your iPhone, and your Bluetooth devices is very important, and we'd be happy to look into this with you.

Which iOS version is currently installed on your iPhone? Settings > General > About.

iOS 14.3 was recently released, so if you haven’t updated to that, let’s do so now.

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Also, let's try to unpair your Bluetooth accessory, then add it again, and test:

Pair a third-party Bluetooth accessory with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Also, try the steps in the following link:

If you can't connect a Bluetooth accessory to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

We hope this information is useful. Kind regards.
