Will iPod touch 7th gen support iOS 15?

Hey all, so my iPad mini broke and I use it every as entertainment so instead of using my iPhone 11. I have been using my old iPhone 5s for entertainment. Anyways, I was going to by a new iPad mini except I really like the small and portable size of the iPhone 5s for music and other entertainment. So I have decided to get a iPod touch 7 gen INSTEAD of a iPad mini 5. Now, I know a lot of you probably think this is stupid but I still think this is a better option than I iPad mini for me because of the smaller more portable size. Now, do you all think that the iPod touch 7 gen will get iOS 15 and maybe 16? What do you all think?
