Q: Your payment method was declined

Im really getting ****** off. I keep getting "Your payment method was declined" when I try to purchase an e-mail voucher for a friend. I have spent 2.5 hours trying to solve this, I know how much my friend would appreciate it else I would tell apple to get fu$%ed since getting help does not seem possible. I have tried 2 different accounts. I just want to buy a freaking voucher or punch an apple employee. Anyone know what is going on?

    I have a black iPhone 4. I have a visa debit. Which was correctly put in. It said it worked when I bought something for 99 cents. I had way over that. But then when I tried to download FREE apps. It said their was a problem with a past purchase. I have no idea what I'm suppose to do to check this. I'd really like to be able to get this sorted so I can update things.

    guys only credit cards do the trick or debit card can be used????i have been trying with my debit card but...your payment has been declined,please enter another payment method...!!!!!

    Hi all. I got the same problem. I found out that this started happening when Apple released the new terms and conditions of App Store. After struggling and entering my billing information 10 times, I went and read the new terms and conditions.

     

    I GOT IT!! My problem is that now Apple decided that they will only accept VISA cards issued in the country which store you are registered to...In my case I am an expatriate and I dont have a VISA issued by a bank of the country I live in... but my postal address registered at my bank is of course my address in this country, so I cannot either change the country for the App Store...

     

    Meaning that I will have to issue a new VISA just to buy apps...? NO WAY. Maybe better just move to Android...

     

    I am fed up with so many limitations and weird ways of controlling customers.

    i'm from the philippines and i'm being prompted as well that there was a problem with my previous purchased whenever i try to update my apps or purchase something on itunes. i have sufficient funds on my card and even tried to use a different cc but it still did not go through. now i have loads of apps which are not updated. this is really annoying. ;(

    I have the same problem evrything was working just fine on tuesday but then  wednesday was when i hade a new update for an app but then it said that i need to put my billing information. so i put it but then it said that billing method was declined. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi,

    Download itunes store on your laptop

    Open your itunes store after download finished

    Click "Store" -> "Sign In" -> insert your "Apple ID" and "Password" ->

    Please wait

     

    Click "Store" -> "View account" -> Insert back your password to view your account, click "View Account" and wait

    Then "Account Information" page appears

    Look for "Purchase History" and click "See All"

    There you can see your latest and previous purchase, and also the amount you owe, but that amount in USD, if you want to know the exact amount in MYR/RM (you're Malaysian right), you need to multiple that amount with 3.21 for example if you owe $100, 100 x 3.21 = RM321, so you owe RM321

    Check your bank's balance, your account should have about RM350 and if you dont have enough balance, you need to add money to your bank account..

    Then, open your itunes store

    Click "Store" -> "Sign In" -> insert your "Apple ID" and "Password" ->

    Please wait

    Click "Store" -> "View account" -> Insert back your password to view your account, click "View Account" and wait

    Then "Account Information" page appears

    Look for "Apple ID Summary" -> next to "Payment Information" click "Edit" and wait

    Re-enter your credit card information and billing address, then click "Done"..

     

    DONE!!

    I had the same problem with the free apps, but I read someone post in this about money, I had bought something on a free app and the money hadn't came out yet so I transferred £2 extra into my other account and the money came out straight away and I could sign in, hope this helps!

    I know the problem everyone's having. I have an iPhone 4 and running iOS7 software. Everything is great and there's nothing wrong with my card. It's a Maestro debit card but even that won't work. I have re-entered my info too many times now and yet on the store online it works fine when I edit the information. How does that work? I told Apple but they told me what everyone else has said and I've tried them all none of them work and it's stupid and pathetic that Apple haven't given us a solution to this problem. I only have one card and I know that everything's fine as I bought a movie with my Xbox so the card is fine

     

    Whoever finds the answer and I mean something that solves it for everyone not just you, please tell me?!!!

    I made one, and if you want to have no card, just type like ygfjdkehfgfh yfehujgybhejd in the boxes, then go in to your Settings > App Store & iTunes > Apple ID: _______________@______.com, enter your password, click Payment Info > None.

    Crapple continues to Pi-- me off with their overbearing 'we know what's best for you' attitudes.

    Instead of letting folks know what must be done to re-authorize ones account upon upgrading equipment, you have to search the net for a solution - - and cross your fingers that what you find will solve your problem.

    MSFARA's solution worked for me - - thanks guy - - and NO thanks to Crapple.
    I am locked into a Crapple iPhone 5c for the next 2 years - - but will definitely be looking at Samsung and Android when it comes time to renew.  My Daughter and SIL made the switch 2 years ago - - I shoulda listened to them. Dang !! When your Kids become smarter than you :-(
