Transfer files from Synology NAS to iCloud

Hi all,

I would like to kill my Synology NAS and instead transfer all my files stored on the NAS to iCloud Drive.

There seems to be no other way than uploading the files manually one by one.

Isn’t there an app or some internet site, that will do the job automatically?

Hint: I only have the Synology NAS, iPhones, an iPad and a Windows Laptop (no Mac).

Anyone tried using rsync to copy the Library folder to a network storage drive? My Users/Library is about 125GB. I tried to use Chronosync to sync this over to my NAS MyBookLive. Chronosync ran for nearly 16 hours without success. The copy process was eventually aborted because of errors. Then I tried using rsync to do it. Again, rsync ran for a long time and doesn't seem to be making any progress. I don't have a Time Capsule so I didn't use Time Machine. I would like to regularly back up the Library folder to my NAS. One of the reasons is the backups of my iOS devices. The backups for my iPhone and iPad are found in library/application support/mobilesync and I would like these backups to be copied to the NAS as a backup in case my MacBook goes bonkers. Has anyone successfully copied this humongous library folder to a NAS? What method did you use? Appreciate any advice and help. Thanks!

iCloud and use of an external drive or NAS Im switching from dropbox to iCloud potentially. I currently have the dropbox files located on an external drive. Can I have iCloud drive located on an external - or use a NAS with iCloud? I want to have access to my files on or offline - no dependence on connection to the internet. I also want an easy way of backing up those files. thanks for your help
