How to switch an account on iPhone from IMAP to POP?

I recently had a conversation with Comcast regarding SMTP server sporadic outage on my iPhone SE 2020, and they suggested to add new account, then delete the old one. The old settings were POP, the new settings - SMTP. The reason why I liked POP is that if I accidentally or intentionally delete a message on my device, it was still available on server, so I could keep tracking all messages. Now I'd like to switch back from IMAP to POP. The instructions provided in communities for this question are outdated (2010). I don't see such an option in the account Advanced settings menu anymore.

Could somebody please suggest the solution?

Thank you.

You'll need to call Comcast back and ask them what the settings is.
