i forgot my notes password is there a way to open it?

no, you can't access it without the password.

but if you set up a password hint when you created the password it should be displayed after a failed attempt or two

Hi Notesnotfound,

you can unlock it with Touch ID or Face ID if you enabled the feature. Otherwise you can’t unlock it.
