my apple whatsapp shows incoming call but its only a message
I get a message on my phone iPone 12 max Pro that there is an incoming call on WhatsApp but it does not ring and then the message changes to incoming message. I am curious

Thanks for being a part of Apple Support Communities. It sounds like WhatsApp shows incoming calls when it should be notifying you of incoming messages instead. We'll do our best to assist and see how you can sort this out.
Does this ever happen for SMS messages and phone calls? If not and it's only isolated to the WhatsApp app, then you'd want to check for any available updates.
First, make sure the iPhone 12 Pro Max is up to date after backing up anything important: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Then check for any app updates for WhatsApp: Update apps or use automatic downloads under section, 'Update your apps manually'.
If that doesn't resolve it, open up Settings > Notifications and scroll down to open WhatsApp. Disable and then enable all notifications to push the changes.
