iPhone 7 Plus sim issues with Smarty

For some reason my iPhone goes to voicemail or gives the busy tone when I'm not even anywhere near my phone - any ideas?

It works on another iPhone (5c)

I see issues with, receiving SMS / OTP from specific carriers or applications (observed this behavior with Reliance and PayTM ). Most of the time the person who calls me is hearing not reachable or switched off. When I try to make a call I have to turn off the WiFi for a better calling experience sometimes call will not go at all though the signal strength is full and good. I don't this behavior when placing the same sim in a normal phone or android phone and the phone always shows good single strength and 4G network. Is this issue with IOS 14.3 version or do I need to do any specific settings?

regardng using a Samsung SIM in iPhone I inserted my Samsung's SIM (Tracfone service provider) into my iPhone 8. My iPhone 8 works alright except for two functions I've noticed, so far: My iPhone 8 does not notify me of any voicemails received. I must manually check my voicemail. This may be a Tracfone problem, have not yet contacted Tracfone to confirm. While my iPhone 8 notifies me and shows me text messages, not all text messages are readable; some are made of letters and numbers in nonsensical order, instead.

You must use a sim that is supported by your carrier.
