iPad Home app (HomeKit) Sidebar

Hi ceraz,

Thanks for coming out through Apple Support Communities. While there isn't an option to disable the sidebar in the Home app on iPad when your device is held in landscape orientation, the sidebar disappears when you rotate your iPad to portrait orientation.

Apple, this is a MAJOR ISSUE. We've heavily invested in Homekit and Smart Home with over 200 devices. I have 4 wall-mounted iPads in landscape orientation. It's not an option to flip to portrait. The new Home screen layout is a complete and total disaster for us! With hundreds of devices, we want as many control icons as possible on the screen. The new sidebar kills 1/3 of that real estate, and looks absolutely horrible as well.

Please fix this! It's unacceptable to implement such a major change. I'm certain you're about to hear from hundreds of other users.

This is so bad! And the Home-app is not even part of the Product Feedback-page so how are we to complain? The only reason we were supposed to buy a few more iPads were to have them display the home-app in landscape mode. This is now not possible :( Please rethink this!!!
