iPhone Camera Reflection Problem

Who else has experienced problems with reflections in their iPhone camera(s) that occur when you include a light source in front of the camera? These reflections generally ruin the photo or video you are trying to create. What response have you received from Apple/Apple support? I recently "upgraded" from the X to the 12 Pro Max and first discovered the problem when filming Christmas tree lights. I took additional videos (including some uploaded to Apple support) and they have the same problem, with all three cameras. I never noticed this problem with the X. Looking online I see reports from users with Xs, 11, and 12 iPhones on this issue so it doesn't seem like a new or individual phone problem but oddly none of the phone/camera reviews covers it. Has anyone found a fix or found that replacing the phone helps?
