MacBook Pro 10.6
Hi all,
I'm Tori.
I've had an old MacBook Pro OS10.6.8 for music production and so on.
I have an question. Is it possible to update to OS10.7?
(My 10.6 sill works fine! so, I want to use it again.)

Click here and download El Capitan. If your computer is too old or you're going to stop upgrading at Lion, choose About this Mac from the Apple menu, check if the computer has at least a Core 2 Duo CPU(Xeon Macs are compatible, but Core Duo ones aren't) and 2GB of RAM, and if it does, order a download code.
Back up your data and check your applications for compatibility before upgrading. In particular, Mac OS X 10.7 and newer don't support PowerPC programs such as Microsoft Office 2008 and earlier.

Hi Niel,
Unfortunately it doesn't seem work on my MacBook Pro OS10.6.8.
I tried to update by using dmg (pkg) which has been downloaded late yesterday.
But strange is it seems done in 3 or 5 minutes for installation, and installation finished then nothing will happen, and OS version stay "10.6.8". Also tried reboot and installation once again but same result.
What should I do next?
Choose Applications from the Finder's Go menu and run it.

Thank you for your reply!
But, El Capitan seems be OS10.11 right?
I'd like to update to 10.7. (10.7 or 10.7.5 are the best, 10.8 is better.)
I look forward to get your reply again!
Thanks.
10.7 is a paid upgrade, and older; the only real reasons to get it are if your Mac can't be upgraded further and you depend on software not compatible with higher OSes.

Copy that! Thank you so much!
I'll try the link you told me and will report after that.
(Now am downloading it...but it seems take so much time though.)
Thanks! Got it! And it seems work fine so far...(now it's rebooting.)
I'll let you the result later.
