Continuity between iPhone and ipad

Apple Connectivity on my iPhone and iPad (updated to iOS 14.3 and iPadOS 14.3 respectively) is not working as intended. Except being able to answer calls from my iPad the Handoff and Universal Clipboard features are not working. Also the iPad or the iPhone are not able to detect each other for screen mirroring.

Greetings AdBhos,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities. We'll be glad to assist you with Continuity features on your Apple devices. Thanks for sharing that both your iPhone and iPad have been updated to the latest OS version.

To get started, we recommend the following:

  1. Open this link to Use Universal Clipboard to copy and paste between your Apple devices
  2. Scroll down to "Set up Universal Clipboard" and confirm that each setting or feature has been enabled, including Handoff in General > Settings.
  3. Then copy a few letters or lines from Notes (or another app) on the iPad or iPhone, and paste it on the other device.

These are the additional settings to check, since "It works when your devices are near each other and set up as follows:

  • Each device is signed in to iCloud with the same Apple ID.
  • Each device has Bluetooth turned on.
  • Each device has Wi-Fi turned on.
  • Each device has Handoff turned on."

We trust these steps will allow you to enjoy all the Continuity features available. Keep us posted on what you experience.

All the best!
