2012 MacBook Pro

Good morning everyone,

I have a Mid-2012 MacBook Pro that I plan on docking. I was wondering if I was to get a Magic Keyboard and Mouse will they work? Is there a special one that I need to get or does it not matter?

Thank you for your time and stay safe,

Ronnie

The only requirements Apple show for the Magic Mouse 2 and the Magic Keyboard is that the computer be Bluetooth-enabled and running macOS 11 or higher.

If you are interested in the Magic Keyboard with Numberic keypad, that requres10.12.4 or higher.

If your OS is less than that, you will need to upgrade to get full access to features. This is not an issue because the 2012 MBP can run up to MacOS 10.15 Catalina.

Sysreqs are in these Apple Store listings:

Magic Mouse 2

Magic Keyboard

Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad
