Which model is your MacBook Air.?Those built in 2017 or earlier use standard USB-A ports ... and why the USB-C end of the cable won't work. You would need to get a USB-C (female)-to-USB-A (male) adapter.
Is this the ONLY use for the USB-C end of cable? Can't seem to plug into my MacBook Air or any other accessory with it.
By "Can't seem to plug into" do you mean that it won't physically fit or that you are not able to charge your iPhone via that connection? ... or both?
