Forgot passcode but not disabled

I need to unlock my moms phone. She has no idea how a passcode got created on it. She’s in a nursing home and I’m the one who set her up with a phone so I have all her login info

Forgot passcode I upgraded my phone and factory reset my old phone to give it to my nephew. I wasn't in town for a month so I didn't use the old phone during that time but I came back and gave it to him and he says it has a passcode on it. I gave him the passcode I use on my new phone since it was the same on my old phone before I switched it over and it's not working. It's been disabled now because of too many wrong passwords. locked out of daughters phone. Don't know passcode I have just given my old phone to my daughter. It has been set up, imported icloud data etc. But when the screen locked it wouldn't accept the passcode. i don't know what the passcode it.
