problems with touch ID in big sur

I recently upgrade to Big Sur and my touch ID stop working, im unable to use it, and to add another one

What exactly happens when you try to use it, and when you go to System Preferences->Touch id.

Also: try resetting NVRAM and SMC for good measure.
