Delete multiple emails

Having restarted my ipad for the first time in over a year, an awful lot of emails are present, when previously read and deleted.

Now I have over 3000 emails and the IOS mail app is clunky, awkward and a bit of an embarrassment really. There seems to be no way to select all emails from an address and delete them en massé?

How do you do this?

Some mailbox folders don’t have a Select All option - but you can easily select multiple emails.

1) Select a mailbox folder (e.g., inbox, archive, bin, sent etc.) from the Mail sidebar.

2) Having selected the folder, use any filter options that you wish to use (if any) to refine the list of mail messages.

3) Tap edit at the bottom of the sidebar.

4) To select multiple messages, you can either tap each message individually - or simply swipe your finger down the left edge of the sidebar to select multiple messages from the list.

5) When you’re ready, select the desired action from the available options.
