Entering virtual gift card for purchase

When I am ready to purchase a new iPad I want to use the virtual reward gift card I received from PhoBio. Is the trade-in ID number what you enter at checkout for a gift card?

Here are Apple's terms for payment; unfortunately, the only gift cards mentioned are from Apple.

Although I can't speak for Apple "officially", I don't believe they will accept anything but an Apple gift card. If they did, it would no doubt be mentioned.

Thank you. The payment terms do not specifically talk about this type of gift card. I was just wondering if anyone had used 1 of these Phobio gift cards and if that was the number they used.
